HAVERN, D'AVERSA SENT FROM
WILKES-BARRE TO WHEELING

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have returned forward Ned Havern to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced on Saturday. Additionally, the Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Jonathan D’Aversa from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to Wheeling.

Havern, 25, was recalled by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on November 16. At that time, he ranked third on the Nailers with 11 points and second with six goals through nine games.

The native of Arlington, MA, appeared in six games with the Penguins, going scoreless and minus-3.

D’Aversa, 21, has appeared in six games with the Penguins this season, recording two points (1+1) and a minus-1 rating. The native of Richmond Hill, ON, was signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins as an undrafted free agent this past summer.

The Penguins return to action tonight when they take on the Hershey Bears at the Giant Center at 7:00pm. The Pens return home to face the Bears next Friday night at 7:05pm.
