BROWN BEATS BRUINS AGAIN
WILKES-BARRE, PA - Dave Brown made 36 saves to lead the Penguins to a 3-2 win agianst the Providence Bruins Saturday night at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. The win was the ninth in the past 10 games for the Penguins, and upped their record to 42-25-0-3 on the season.
The win also allowed the Pens to creep within one point of the first place Philadelphia Phantoms, who dropped a 3-1 decision to the Hershey Bears.
Brown allowed two goals 30 seconds apart in the second period, but was stellar the other 59:30, as he posted his second win against the AHL's top club in the past week. He picked up a 2-1 shootout victory Sunday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. |
