PENGUINS SHUT OUT AGAIN, 4-0

groupBRIDGEPORT, CT - Mike Morrison made 40 saves to lead the Bridgeport Sound Tigers to a 4-0 win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday night.

The loss dropped the Penguins' record to 29-20-0-3 on the season, and saw the Pens fall two points behind the second place Hershey Bears in the East Division standings. The Sound Tigers raised their record to 27-24-1-0, and still sit in sixth place in the division.

The Penguins were held off the scoreboard for the second straight game, after dropping a 1-0 decision to the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday night in Wilkes-Barre. It is the second time this season the Pens have been held scoreless in back-to-back games this season, (Nov. 17, 4-0, @ Albany & Nov. 18, 3-0, vs. Binghamton).

Jeremy Colliton's first period power play goal was all the Sound Tigers would need, but the home club also got goals from Sean Bentivoglio, Ben Walter and Jamie Fraser to ensure their first win in three tries against the Pens.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton returns to action this Monday night, when the Penguins travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators at 7:00pm.
